About The ALS Association of Georgia, Inc.

The ALS Association of Georgia, Inc. (ALSA of GA) is the only nationally affiliated not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS in Georgia. ALSA of GA covers all the bases - research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy - in providing help and hope to those facing the disease. The mission of ALSA of GA is to find a cure for and improve living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

ALSA of GA symbolizes the hopes of people everywhere that ALS will one day be a disease of the past - relegated to historical status, studied in medical textbooks, conquered by the dedication of thousands who have worked ceaselessly to understand and eradicate this perplexing disease.

Until that day comes, ALSA of GA relentlessly pursues its mission to help people living with ALS and to leave no stone unturned in search for the cure of the progressive  neurodegenerative disease.  The search for answers knows no bounds.

But nowhere does this battle reach deepest than in our work with ALS patients and their families. We embrace those stricken with the disease with the world's most comprehensive program of care and services. We coordinate services with care and compassion - making a difference in the lives of people with Lou Gehrig's disease.

ALSA of GA provides a reason for hope until the disease is defeated and a cure is found.  We unite patients, caregivers and volunteers throughout Georgia into a community that can respond effectively and sensitively as needs and issues change from day to day.
